About Eric Holt Design

With over 18 years of residential design experience I have acquired a passion for people and their homes. The relationships that I build are just as important as the plans I draw for them.

I am a Purdue University Building Construction Management graduate with 22 years of home, remodeling and building industry experience. My career path started as a building material salesman, then a building inspector, then a project manager for a local home builder. Along the way I got frustrated with the quality of the plans I was working from and thought I could do better. For the last 18 years, I have been a residential home design/remodel consultant and business owner.

I also have a passion for teaching the next generation of building professionals. In 2007 I went back to graduate school to pursue my MS and PhD in Construction Management Education. I have joined the University of Denver Burns School of Real Estate & Construction Management faculty.

Through the National Association of Home Builders, I am a Certified Green Professional (CGP) and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).
